Romeo and Juliet- chorus

-"Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene"

-This play takes place in Verona where 2 families are living 


-"From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean"

-An old fight that has been occurring for a long time, is still happening,they hate each other which has made them lose respect. 


-"From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life;" 

-The son and daughter of these two families which are enemies, have fallen in love w/each other and take their lives. 


-"Whole misadventured piteous overthrows Do with their death bury their parents’ strife"

-Because of their 2 death, the 2 families started to then get along and had ended their rivalry 


"The fearful passage of their death-mark’d love, And the continuance of their parents’ rage"

- the two lovers death has marked love and an end to the 2 families rivalry 


-"Which, but their children’s end, nought could remove"

- and the only way the rivalry was ended was because of their death


-"Is now the two hours’ traffic of our stage; The which if you with patient ears attend What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend"

-The 2 lovers death is the subject of our play,so if you listen carefully, you will now exactly what happens
