Final assessment

K1)Self Regulation: I am always in class on time, with everything I need. To be honest, most of the time I get off task and socialize too much with my peers. Most of my work is handed in on time, but sometimes in class when I get off task, and save it for homework and I get too lazy to do it at home so it's usually like a day or 2 late. I think that my biggest distraction are the people in my group, and that I should either move somewhere else and/or ignore them. I think that my attitude towards the class is good, I'm nice towards everyone, if anyone wants to share my device with me if they dont have one, I usually let them.
I take time to edit my blog if I need to 25/33

2) the plo I can do are
B2: read, both collaboratively and independently, to comprehend a variety of information and persuasive
texts with increasing complexity of ideas and form, such as
– Articles and reports
– Biographies and autobiographies
– Textbooks, magazines, and newspapers, etc
C1 write meaningful personal texts that elaborate on ideas and information to
– Experiment
– express self
– make connections
– reflect and respond
– remember and recall
A8 speak and listen to make personal responses to texts, by
– making connections with prior knowledge and experiences
– relating reactions and emotions to understanding of the text
– generating thoughtful questions
25/33

3)I think I learn from a whole lot of people in my class. Before writing a blog I go and read my peers blogs to get an idea of how I should write mine. I think that I learn better from my peers when they comment on my blog and tell me how I can improve it. I also comment on many of my classmates blogs and help them edit their blog.25/33

Overall I think the mark I deserve is 75/100

the man from the south

The Man From The South is an interesting, but rather strange story. It is about 2 people betting on weather the lighter can light up 10 times in a row or not. One of the man puts up his Cadillac and the other puts up his left pinky finger. The story is taking place in Jamaica

In the short story "Man From The South", I think that there are many elements for a short story. In this story, the setting takes place at 6:00pm in Jamaica, because as said in the introduction, "I'd buy myself a beer and go out and sit in a deck chair by the swimming pool and have a little evening sun." And as a class, we had figured out that the story had taken place in Jamaica. I think that the conflict of this story was the little man and the boy who were betting. The rising action begun when the man came and had seen the boy light up his lighter in the wind and wanted to bet him, and all 4 of them go up to the hotel room and start to commence the bet. The Climax as when the boy gets until the 8th light, and an older South American comes in and stops the man. The falling action is when the women tell the boy that the man has been betting for a really long time and that after a really long time, she has taken everything he has with the bets., and when they see her hand, they see she only has one finger and her thumb left.

Who killed Wellington?

Chris sees a dog at 3:00 am in the morning.dead.with a pitchfork through it  .There were many people that came to my mind while thinking about who killed Wellington. But one that came to mind was Christopher's dad.

There were many reasons why I thought he had killed Wellington, but the main one was when he said to Christopher "you have to stay out of trouble" and that he should not get involved in Wellington's murder. Christopher then said I hope the police will find&punish the person, and his dad got mad at that&expressed his anger when he banged the steering wheel. Christopher's dad would not have told Christopher to stay out of Wellington's death because he was afraid if chris finds out that his dad killed Wellington, then Chris's love for his dad might change. Also his dad wouldn't have reacted that way when Chris said that I hope the police will find&punish the murderer.

Another reason for why I think Chris's father killed Wellington was because of his relationship w/Ms.Shears. I think this because Chris's father probably felt very bad that Ms.Shears had cheated on him. Since Mr Boone&Ms Shears were tight, he probably had access to the shed and he had got the pitchfork out of her shed and had killed Wellington.

The last and final reason I think that Mr Boone killed Wellington is that the dog was killed on a night where Mr. Boone was drunk, he was feeling bad and down about his lost wife, and his disabled kid. I think that Mr. Boone got too drunk and didn't know what he was doing, got the keys to Ms. shears shed and murdered the dog.

I think that Mr Boone had killed Wellington because of the reasons above.

Essay-good copy

Mercutio is considered one of the most important  characters in Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet". Mercutio is the Prince's nephew, and is friends with both the Capulets and Montagues. He gives the audience more information throughout the play, and foreshadows the devastating events but more importantly, he is Romeo's friend.

One reason Mercutio is considered the important character is because he is the first to see that Romeo is deeply in love. When Romeo complains about the amount of love he has for Rosaline, Mercutio tells him to get over it.

Another reason Mercutio is considered important is because he views love as something imaginary and makes sexual jokes about it, he argues that love is a dream and dreams are nothing, and because of his view on love, he makes the plot more interesting. Mercutio not only has a problem with love but infact he's also pretty hostile towards women and female sexuality in general. An example of this includes when he lists Roseline's body parts:
I must conjure him.
I conjure thee by Rosaline's bright eyes,
By her high forehead and her scarlet lip,
By her fine foot, straight leg and quivering thigh
And the demesnes that there adjacent lie,
That in thy likeness thou appear to us!

The last reason, is because of his queen mob speech:
This is that very Mab
that plats the manes of horses in the night,
And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs,
Which once untangled, much misfortune bodes:
This is the had, when maids lie on their backs,
That presses them and learns them first to bear,
Making them women of good carriage
In the queen mob speech, Mercutio says that women who are "hag-ridden" by queen mob, are learning how to beat, for example bear children, all the weight of the man on them.

In conclusion, Mercutio was considered important for many reasons, how he was the prince's nephew and was friends with both sides of the family, how he understood Romeos love for roseline, and more importantly, his queen mob speech.

Stress relieve song

MThe song I chose was pocket full of sunshine by Natasha Beddingfield. This song reminds me that no matter what people say to me I should always keep my head up because I am always happy, and always look on the bright side. The part of this song that connects to me is a part of the hook:
Do what you want,
but you're never gonna break me,
sticks and stones are never gonna shake me
The part When she says you're never gonna break me,
sticks and stones are never gonna shake me
It means that you won't let anyone's criticism bother you. relates to me cause I'm always happy and that no matter what other people say, they won't hurt me cause I'm strong and I don't feel offended by their words or what they say to me.

Essay outline

Mercutio is often considered one of Shakespeare's best characters and yet he is killed quite early in this play. Discuss how the relationships Mercutio is in influence his behaviour/choices, and discuss WHY you think so many people (including me) find him interesting and pleasure to watch/read. What do you think Shakespeare would say about his character Mercutio? Would he like him? Would he think he was brave, honourable, immature, ignorant, or wise?

I find Mercutio interesting for many reasons:
- he wants the 2 families to be in peace
-he is the first to see that Romeo is deeply in love
-Mercutio views love as something imaginary and makes sexual jokes about it, he argues that love is a dream and dreams are nothing
-because of his view on love, his jokes, he makes the plot more interesting

I think that Shakespeare would think of Mercutio as wise and immature. He might think he's wise because if Shakespeare thought that love is nothing, he might agree with Mercutio's words that it's just a dream and dreams are nothing. He might think he's immature on the jokes that he makes about love.
